Privacy Policy
Amphora doesn't collect any data about you. What it reads from your car stays on your iPhone.
What Amphora stores, and where
Amphora saves the following on your iPhone only:
- Battery snapshots you take or that are taken automatically: state of health, capacity, cell voltages and temperatures, with the time they were taken.
- The cars you've connected to: their VIN, the model you chose and any nickname you gave them.
- Your settings, such as the adapter you picked, its Wi-Fi address and your preferred units.
None of this is sent to the developer or anyone else. Amphora has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Bluetooth and local network
Amphora asks for Bluetooth access to talk to a Bluetooth LE OBD adapter, and local network access to talk to a Wi-Fi OBD adapter. It uses them only to communicate with the adapter plugged into your car.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. The developer doesn't receive your name, email or payment details. When you unlock a single car, the purchase carries an anonymous identifier derived from the car's VIN by a one-way hash, so Amphora can tell which car the purchase is for. The VIN itself is never sent. Apple's handling of purchase data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Things you choose to share
You can export your battery history as a CSV file, or share the adapter log from Settings. These are shared only where you send them, using the iOS share sheet. The adapter log may include your car's VIN.
Children
Amphora doesn't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
